To wrap up our 2023 summer series of Tuesday Night Tunes at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, we welcome first time performers, Rob Wigle and Victor Fraser, from the Nova Scotia Celtic trio, Celtic Rant!
Rob Wigle has been playing guitar and mandolin for over 25 years, and any other instrument he could get his hands on. Deep in his Maritime roots, Rob was lured by the sounds of popular TV shows such as Don Messer, Sing Along Jubilee, and Take Time where he heard good songs, stories, and outstanding performances by East Coast musicians and entertainers. In addition to playing in Celtic Rant, Rob is re-establishing himself as an East Coast solo performer and recording artist.
Halifax, Nova Scotia is the home of guitarist Victor Fraser. Trained in Classical literature for guitar, Victor combines his proficiency in diverse styles such as ragtime, Celtic, rock and pop to engage and entertain listeners. A founding member of Celtic Rant and one half of Classical Guitar Duo, Con Spirito Duo, Victor delights his audiences with solo performances of Celtic flat picking, fingerstyle, and traditional song.
