Karl Risser is an ITF inspector who will present the daily working life of crew aboard industry ships, and experiences at sea. Karl works for the International Transport Workers Federation, representing seafarers visiting our Canadian ports.
Karl was born into a family of shipbuilders in Halifax and became President of the local union at 28. He joined ITF inspectors for 10 years before becoming the Canadian coordinator in October 2024.
