Louise Trotter continues the extraordinary global circumnavigation (her October 21st talk started the journey) as she traces Karl Creelman’s path through Sri Lanka, India, Egypt, Northern Europe and Great Britain. Discover how Karls remarkable journey brought him face to face with the Maharaja of Benares, to the iconic pyramids of Giza, and the medieval castles of Scotland.

This presentation completes the eastern portion of their shared journey, exploring how these distant lands have transformed over a century while still maintaining the essence that captivated Karls’s imagination in 1900.

Louise Trotter is a photographer and travel writer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Through her camera she seeks to blend what she sees with what she feels, creating artistic vignettes that reflect her curiosity and passion for preserving awe-inspiring moments.

As part of our Tuesday community nights at the museum, we offer free admission from 5 pm – 8 pm. We also encourage donations to Feed Nova Scotia to help curb food insecurity in Halifax, together!
