Sci-Fi Fantasy- Family Fun!

Small Craft Gallery and Age of Steam Gallery
 
In our theme with Science Fiction this weekend, come see members from Hal-Con, Jules Verne Phantastical Society, Halifax Amateur Radio Club (HARC) and the Maritime Science Fiction Modelers.
 
The HARC members will be on-hand in the Age of Steam Gallery, above the Small Craft Gallery, to have to try demonstrations in morse code and possibly radio communications abroad! See interesting radio communications equipment from various eras and try out the voice-tubes in the area while you’re at it!
 
In the Small Craft Gallery will be: the Maritime Science Fiction Modelers at http://msfm.seryan.com/  is an international group that promotes science and science fiction modeling is Starship Modeler at http://www.starshipmodeler.com/. Onsite will be various models from your favorite sci-fi movies and tv shows, with model makers on-hand to tell you more. Hal-Con will come in their costume best and roam around our museum to find you, if you don’t find them first!
 
The Jules Verne Phantastical Society will also be coming back, after a successful visit during our March Break. Chris Secord is a Board member with the Jules Verne Phantastical Society and a regular participant and volunteer with the JVPS and Hal-Con.  He will be modelling gear from his own collection as well as some made by another JVPS crafter.  Please feel free to talk to him and ask any questions about steampunk or science fiction in general.
