Mercedes works closely with the MDCC team on sharing Mi’kmaw worldviews, language and history with learners of all ages, as well as educators across Nova Scotia and beyond. Mercedes was born in Menahkwesk in Wolastokuk and is a band member of Glooscap First Nation.

As part of our Tuesday community nights at the museum, we offer free admission from 5 pm – 8 pm. We also encourage donations to Feed Nova Scotia to help curb food insecurity in Halifax, together!
