A Historical Perspective 1881-2005 with J. Edward MacDonald

Industrial Heritage Nova Scotia is holding their monthly meeting at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic on Monday, May 1st. As always, they are having a guest speaker, whose talk is open to all interested members of the public.

The presentation by J. Edward MacDonald covers the Raison d’etre for the establishment and operation of the Cotton Spinning Mill in Windsor in the early 1880’s and its history, through to the location and operation of Nova Scotia Textiles. Ltd in that building, up until its consolidation with Stanfield’s in 2005.

The talk is free, and the doors will open at 7:00.
