Weds. June 27 from 9 am to 3 pm

Thurs. June 28 from 9 am to 3 pm

Friday June 29 from 9 am to 3 pm

Once again this summer the Parks Canada outreach team will be on the waterfront at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, with exciting information about new programs happening all over Atlantic Canada! This year, we also have an exhibit from Parks Canada detailing the tragic fate of Sir John Franklin’s expedition to the Northwest Passage, which can be found on the second floor of the Museum.

The Parks team will also be offering their presentation on the inner workings of the Atlantic Codfish where you can try your hand at fileting their mascot Freddy the Fish! Freddy is on a summer vacation from his usual home at the Ryan Premises National Historic Site located at Bonavista, Newfoundland. The demonstrations will take place in the Robertson Store at 11:00 and 2:00 each day when the Parks team are on site.
