The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic is pleased to welcome the Bluefield High School Band, who have kindly offered to provide a public concert during their visit to the Museum.

Bluefield High School is located 20 minutes west of Charlottetown set among the rolling hills of Hampshire, Prince Edward Island. Under the direction of Christine Blanchard the Bluefield Concert Band consists of 62 students from grades 10, 11, and 12 who chose to make music a part of their lives. The band rehearses twice a week.  Performances include traditional band repertoire as well as arrangements of music from the pop genre.

In addition to the concert band, the music department has a Rhythm & Blues Band which plays music from the blues, rock, and funk genres.  This group is comprised of 4 singers, 4 horns, and a rhythm section.

The Band’s concert is included in Museum admission.
